What is platelet-rich plasma therapy?

Once your platelets are isolated, Dr. Singh or his staff recombines them with your blood plasma, creating platelet-rich plasma. Dr. Singh injects PRP into and around your hair follicles to reverse or halt hair loss. In total, your treatment shouldn’t last longer than 60 to 90 minutes
Following your treatment, you’ll be able to resume your daily activities, as there’s no downtime associated with PRP injections for hair restorations. While side effects are uncommon, you may experience mild tenderness and swelling at the injection sites for a few days following your treatment.
Although it varies from patient to patient, Dr. Singh recommends two PRP treatments at six-week intervals. After this, he’ll ask you to come back to reassess your improvements. Typically, he’ll suggest follow up treatments twice a year to maintain optimal results.
